Fingerprinting Update

I've been trying to call Immigration for days to see if our fingerprinting appointment invitation thingy had been mailed yet. Each and every time I've called, it's been busy...until yesterday when it actually RANG and a real, live person answered! You could have knocked me over with a feather! Anyway, I was told that the Fingerprinting Department currently is in possession of our I-600A and we should be receiving our appointment in the next 1-2 weeks. My response to this was "I was told the exact same thing 2-3 weeks ago" when I called. The nice lady said that she would let the Fingerprinting Officer (doesn't that sound official?) know that I inquired and maybe that would help speed things up. Sure, I'll take it. Tell everyone in the Federal Building for all I care, just send me the freakin' appointment!
