Will You be Watching?

The movie United 93 is now in theaters. Will you be watching?

I feel a sense of obligation or duty to watch this film, but I just can't do it. Not yet.

No I won't be watching, and if I were family of one on that flight, or anyone one lost in 9/11, I don't think I would be watching either. I don't want to relive it Hollywood style, it was already bad enough to last me a lifetime. That is NOT meant negative towards anyone who goes to see it. I didn't go see the Titanic either. I just hate feeling helpless when others are in peril, and both of those are historical events NOT just some story. Guess I am too sensitive. :-( I can't go. Oh and the Passion of Christ, no I didn't go see that one either.

I read a columnist who wrote, "It's probably a good movie, but it's about 20 years too soon."

I've read the reviews. They do, indeed, say it's a good movie.

I don't think I can do it just_right_now.

Nope, me neither. I lived through it. (You know what I mean.) I don't need to see the movie.

I wont go see it either...nothing against anyone who does, I just dont feel it is right for hollywood to make money off of the events of that day, no matter how they are trying to portray it. I just feel like its a movie script that never should have been written. I had a hard enough time that day watching it all unfold on television. I wouldnt be able to make it through a movie.

I can't do it. It's too soon and all those feeling are still so close to the surface. I just don't have the strength to go through it again, and believe me I have a tremendous amount of guilt for saying that. Those people were heroes and they should be memorialized and we should remember, but for me it wont be in Technicolor big screen.

Won't be watching it. Most of my family was in New York City that day, including my cousin, who is a cop 3 blocks from the twin towers. I was not able to get in touch with ANYONE until around 6pm that night. It was a VERY emotional day, and I believe this movie is way too soon...

If I do watch it will be when it is released on video. In the privacy of my home. I just can`t do something that emotional in public.

Nope, I won't be going either. There are days when all i have to do is THINK about 9/11 and I start to cry. It would be too much for me to see it again. I would bawl the whole way through, and it would be the UGLY cry too.
