This and That
*Suffice it to say that I'm still in a bit of a funk, but there are a few upcoming events that give me something to look forward to and take my mind off of the wait:
August 5th - After a year of chatting back and forth via email, I am finally meeting my friend, Jacquie! We are meeting for lunch at The Cheesecake Factory, followed by an afternoon of shopping. I can't wait to meet you, Jac!
August 14-19 - Tom's parents made a very appealing offer for us to join them on a trip to Las Vegas. I'm looking forward to the much needed R&R and maybe I'll even do something crazy since "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas"! Thanks Mom & Dad!
*I'm craving pumpkin pie with whipped cream lately. Strange considering that it's not my favorite pie.
*Does anyone know how to get ink out of carpet? An old pen that we threw in a wicker trash can in our bedroom, leaked through the bottom of the can and onto our cream colored carpeting. I have a feeling that the trash can will be covering it until it's time to replace the carpet. What a mess.
*My hair is falling out. It always happens when I am feeling stressed for a long period of time. There's so much hair in the drain every day after I shower, you'd think a sasquatch was using our shower. Good thing I have a lot of hair.

I see your ink and I raise you one mustard stain. Oh yeah. Looking quite lovely in the middle of the living room.

I've used hairspray to get ink out of clothes. But that was usually just for a spot. Don't know about a whole pen leak. But worth a try. Got any Aquanet? :-)
Cheap hairspray has worked for me too. Get the cheapest pump spray (non-aerosol) that you can find. Spray it on the stain and blot with clean paper towels. Keep repeating until the stain is gone, then use plain water to rinse over and over blotting with clean towels each and every time. When you use the hairspray, you'll see the stain start to bleed, but then you'll see it disappear with continued applications. Good luck!

Oh, have fun, fun, fun!!! Cheesecake factory is one of my favorite places. Think about those of us who are there in spirit.
Ditto the hairspray thing. I've used it on clothes but never carpet.

Sounds like your gonna have some much needed fun!!!! Be sure to take lots of pictures for the blog!!! We don't have a Cheesecake Factory around here anywhere that I know of -- sounds good - I'll have to google it. Love google, LOL!!!!!

After having Logan a few months, I quickly learned about every stinkin' stain remover. You may want to try AFTA. You may need to go to a local carpet place to get it - I'm not sure if a Lowes or Home Depot carries it, but it works wonders. Yep, even gets bright pink lipstick out of cream-colored carpet! Good luck...
