LID

We just received word that our LID is 12/5/05. I'm relieved to finally have our LID, but am disappointed that we just missed having a November date. I know another person who was DTC with CCAI on 11/8 and has a LID of 11/21. We were DTC just a week later on 11/16 and obviously weren't processed as quickly.

I was on the verge of being in a bad mood earlier and now it's official; I'm in a bad mood and feel like going in a corner and bawling my eyes out because I WANT MY DAUGHTER!

(For my non-adopting readers, DTC = Dossier To China and LID = Log In Date)

Kim,

At least you have a date that is early in the month so if they cut December off at the mid point for referrals, you won't end up with the early January group. You may actually end up in the same group with your friend who is LID on 11/21 if they cut the month from mid November to mid December.

Congrats on being LID! I'm still about 2 months away from that and I too want my daughter NOW!

Congratulations Kim! I know you wish it were sooner and I'm sorry. I'll be praying that things speed up. This wait is no fun and is pure hell!

Hang in there sweetie!

Get thee to some chocolate!

Well, on the plus side, you have a firm date from which to the next obsession phase.

(sorry, I know it doesn't really help. but chocolate should ease the pain a bit)

Okay, so the up side is that you might have had an end of November date and then you would have been on a cusp and worried that you wouldn't make the cut. This way you have a nice date in the beginning of December!

Congratulation on being LID!!! It's a big milestone.

Ok, Pollyanna here. I was in the exact same situation. But let's hope late Nov./early Dec. will mean the same as far as referral month wise. Ok, that sounds lame but it's the best I got. I know how you feel. But, for whatever it's worth........ congratulations on your LID!

Congrats from me too! I'll admit that I'm going with the Pollyanna theory as well...my LID is 8/05 and I'm hoping that by some sort of miracle I'll get put in with the July people.

Hey Congrats on getting a date. Now you can breathe a big sigh of relief and camp out on the wait-go-round with the rest of us. :-)

Yeah for you!!!! But I think the date you rec'd has it's perks. You will be in cluded if they do the whole split month thing ... you don't have to worry if the cut off is you (ie; April 14th cut off... seen cut offs on the 21st and 23rd... your too high up there!)

Congrats!!!

At least you have a date. I know its not when you wanted and the wait is killing you (maybe i'm projecting here...) but its a starting point. Cheer up, its one more thing to check off your list! I say, have a little party. You only get LID once!

Congrats on getting your LID even though it wasn't as quick as you had hoped. I know how you feel, we were DTC 9/9 and didn't get logged in until 10/12. I was bummed for a day or two but then I felt better and was just happy to have an official date to count down from. Here we are now 2 months later. For our first adoption we had a LID of 7/25/03 and got cut off from the first part of July when referrals came 3/9/04 (ours came 4/8/04). This time I said I didn't want another late in the month LID and I guess I got what I wished for. :-)

Second, I know how you feel. Why does it take soooooooooo long to get LID after DTC???!

Hopefully things will begin to pick-up! :)
