Merry Christmas, Gracie!

Even though I wasn't feeling 100%, our Christmas was wonderful. We had great times with both of our families and even got to enjoy spending Christmas day with Tom's family at Mike and Sarah's first home.

When our families asked what we wanted for Christmas, we asked for things for the baby. We really don't need anything for ourselves, and instead of asking for things we don't need, we asked for things for Grace. Among the items we received were her high chair, diaper genie, toys and beautiful book on China from my brother and sister-in-law, her Britax car seat and photo album from Tom's parents, and a kitchen play set and baby book for an adoptive child from Mike and Sarah. We plan on spending a portion of the money that my father gave us on Grace's dresser and we also purchased her crib this weekend that is from my father. Tom and I exchanged gifts of toys and books for her and I am amazed at all of the things that we have collected. With baby items everywhere, it is really setting in that we are about to become parents to the little girl that we hold so close in our dreams. We are ready to begin working on her nursery next month and we're so excited to have a special room waiting for our sweet little angel to occupy it.

Sounds like a baby shower. I'm so glad you got your crib. I don't know why that's such a big deal to me. You'll have to post pics!

Happy Holidays Mom!
