The Wait - Three Months Down

Sunday was the three-month anniversary of our Log-in-Date. I'm really not bitter that just a few short months ago, being logged in for 3 months meant you were about half way through the wait. Now it doesn't seem to mean anything since we don't know how long the wait will be. Really, I'm not bitter, just a bit defeated and floating along with the wind sucked out of my sails. In the scheme of things, the wait will not matter at all once we see our sweet baby's face. I truly feel blessed to already feel such a strong love for our child. Some days my heart feels like it's going to overflow.

In other news, I'm still in a bit of the funk that I talked about earlier. I'm convinced that the only thing that will help in evicting me from Funky Town is a good, solid, full-month's worth of referrals in the next batch. That oughta do the trick.

We still haven't made any progress on Grace's room thanks to the funk. We did attempt to purchase a camcorder on Sunday for the sole purpose of documenting Grace's adoption and the precious life she will lead. Figures...Best Buy was out of the one we wanted. We'll check back next week.

I am getting all of the fabric swatches together to send in to have Grace's 100 Good Wishes quilt made. I haven't counted, but I'm sure we must have around 100. Seriously folks, this IS last call to participate. I won't mention names. You know who you are.

We're going to start our immunizations for our trip to China in the next couple of weeks. For those of you who have BTDT, which ones did you have? I'm going to see what the CDC recommends.

I'm headed back to my cave to hibernate. There's plenty of room left if you all feel the need to join me.

Believe it or not, I've surrendered to the wait and for some reason it's gotten easier lately. I hope the funk passes for you soon. As for the shots, I got Hep A & B and Tetnus. My insurance paid for the shots...I asked the Dr. to code the shots as preventative and not travel.

Same here with the shots, Hep A & B, and tetanus. NOT same here with the insurance - they would not cover them despite a great letter written by my doctor as to why they should (not for travel, etc.). Health dept. wouldn't do them either. SO, we paid through the nose. Sigh. Good news is we didn't have to redo them for this time! :-)

Sorry that the funk is still with you, believe me I have had those feelings. Maybe extra cuddle time with some really cute puppies? Works for me.

As for the shots same as above and our insurance did pay.

I hit 3 months logged in today. Wouldn't it be cool if we could meet up in China? :-)

And I'm in the funk too. I've done NOTHING for Emily's room yet, not even cleaned it out. BOO. :-(

Shannon...When I saw that you're LID is 12/8, the first thing that popped into my head is maybe we'll be in China at the same time! That WOULD be cool!

Just keep looking forward! Hopefully they will start to move things along a little more quickly soon.

We are all in the same boat - so much for a 9 month process! We had the five month paper chase, plus up to 9 months for the referral.....
We are so anxious - we are praying that China does move faster the rest of the year. We wil hang in there with you. I love caves, cozy for one and can accomodate two!
