The Good Stuff
Watching through the window, I just witnessed sweetness. I viewed a very sweet, patient and loving father - my husband - load our little girl into her carseat, talking sweetly to her all the while, as they prepared to head off to the mall to do some Christmas shopping for Momma. I can't help but think about what great strides Grace has made in such a short time. Not too long ago, she would go into hysterics if I wasn't with her. But not today. She smiled the whole while, waving and blowing kisses to me until they were out of sight.
You see, my husband has turned into the most amazing father, and I have to believe that Grace knows how wonderful he is. I marvel at his patience and love toward her. He has softened since Grace came into our lives and it is so endearing.
I have recently realized what is important. It's not how large our house is, what kind of cars we drive, how large our bank account is or how many carats my diamond ring is. I have all that is important and couldn't ask for more... I have the love of a precious child and a dear husband. This is the good stuff.

I truely believe little girls melt even the most macho of hearts
There's nothing like watching your husband with your child - makes your heart melt.
You said it! All the best to you and yours :0)
I love that you know what matters and that you can express your gratitude! That's beautiful!
Sounds like Grace and mom and dad are all doing great. That is so wonderful. Merry Christmas/
Oh my, it's usually watching the gotcha videos that make me cry, but this lovely post has done it to me.
I can't wait to watch Joe with Lauren someday. This is one of the things I am most looking forward to.
Donna :)
It's not good stuff...it's GREAT stuff.
Wonderful post. It's often times it's the little and everyday things that make us realize just how wealthy we are - in love, family and friends.
Oh man, I love that line "this is the good stuff." So true, so true.
Wonderful holiday wishes to your whole beautiful family. :-)
