Our Girl...She's a Growin'!
Grace had an appointment with Dr. Steve today for some booster shots, her flu shot, and her one-month check-up since her last visit. In a month, she's grown 1.25 inches and has gained 1.25 pounds! At 31 months, she weighs 26 pounds and is 37 inches tall. Honestly, she eats like a little piggy which is a total 180 from how she was when we first arrived home. Her favorite foods are broccoli, grape tomatoes, grapes, pizza, noodles, eggs, goldfish crackers, bananas, bananas, and more bananas. She gets so excited at meal-time and is hysterical to watch as she hurriedly gathers her bib, cup of water/juice, and stands impatiently waiting as we prepare her meal.
Her doctor couldn't be happier with how she's progressing since coming home. She is talking up a storm, learning like crazy, and obviously has a very healthy appetite. She totally regressed on her potty habits upon coming to us due to the stress of the situation, and we're working with her to get her to use her potty again. We're able to get her to pee on the potty approximately twice a day but are having no luck with her doing number two. In all honesty, we think she's enjoying being babied by being back in diapers, so the doctor recommended that we don't make diaper changing time anything special - no eye contact, no talking, nothing but business. Sooner or later she'll get tired of being in a diaper and we just need to follow her lead.
I swear, our girl is blossoming more and more each day and is the most precious child I've ever met. We could not have chosen a more perfect child for us and are crazy nuts about our girl!
