Piece-a-Cake!
Well, our homestudy is a thing of the past! Our Social Worker, Kathlin, is great and has confidence that we'll be suitable parents. I'm amazed that she came to that conclusion after the way Frick and Frack behaved. Casey (aka Frick) wouldn't leave Kathlin alone, an
d all 75 pounds of him wanted to be in her lap the entire visit. Lucy (Frack) was intrigued by a couple of flies that had gotten into the house and was chasing them like the predator she is. Imagine our horror as she threw herself over the coffee table to stalk her prey...just in time for all of us to be watching her.
Frack also has a peeing problem when she gets excited. So, upon Kathlin arriving and departing, Lucy had a little "accident". Kathlin had a good laugh out of it all, and all of this was minor in comparison to some of the homestudy stories she had to tell.
At any rate, that's over and we're one step closer to clearing immigration. We STILL have not received that fingerprinting invitation and it's been over two weeks.
On the agenda for next week is obtaining our passports. Since we waited so long to do this, we're going to have that process expedited. Hey, it's only another $50 or so per person...pocket change in the scheme of things but oh so worth it!
I catch myself day-dreaming about Grace and it's beginning to sink in that she will most likely be with us this time next year. Isn't that unbelievable? After everything we've gone through to have a child, we're actually going to be parents!!!!

Congrats on the good homestudy report!
Thank god that's over right?
Hang in there. It took us about a month to get our fingerprint appointment. Waiting sucks doesn't it?
Hiya, stumbled across your site while visiting another adoptive site. Good read, I'll bookmark it. Like the looks of Frick-Frack. We have 4 dogs (and they still gave us a child!). If you can baby 2 dogs, parenthood will be a cinch! :)
