What Does This Mean?

I found a ladybug!!! My first since beginning the adoption process, and since ladybugs are considered good luck to those adopting from China, I felt hopeful that something good was about to happen!!! I just looked down on my desk and there it was! My first thought was "oh goody...maybe this means our freaking fingerprint invitation will be in the mail today".

Upon further examination, I concluded that the ladybug was dead. What does that mean? Does it mean more carrot-dangling for us? Does it mean we almost had good luck for our adoption, but not quite? Does anyone know ladybug CPR? I'll try anything. We are in serious need of some ladybug luck!

By-the-way...no fingerprinting invitation in the mail when I got home today. Of course.
