Grrrrr...

Over the last couple of days, we've heard some news that has stolen the thunder out of almost being DTC: there appears to be a slow-down with the CCAA, the government agency in China that matches adoptive families with our children. According to the Parent Access Network on CCAI's website, our agency is not expected to receive any referrals this month. It seems that our agency received referrals last month for the balance of March LID's when other agencies did not. From the sound of things, those agencies will get referrals for the rest of their March LID's and CCAI is being skipped. What the heck is going on over there? No matter how you look at it, all of us are being held up. My biggest wish is that they would tell us if the wait from LID to referral is now longer than 6-7 months. After waiting years to be parents, you might think - what's a few extra months? Let me tell you, it's an eternity when you have the promise of a child so unbelievably close within reach.

I'm stressed and out of chocolate. Oh wait, I think I have some chocolate chips in the cupboard...

I'm with you sister! It sucks to be told it's going to be a few extra months when you've already been waiting SO LONG!!! Ugh. Hang in there. Know that you aren't alone and I'm here at my house griping right along with you! LOL

Hey girl! I finally got my I-171 and I am supposed to be DTC TODAY! I hate the wait as well but even more now, is the unpredictability!
