I Have All the Symptoms...

...Of being an adoption stalker. It's a sickness and the only cure for it is a trip to China to receive your child. Here's what my stalking-day is like:

I sit down to the computer and first check email. There could be something good there from an adoption buddy or our agency. Then I check my favorite blogs. I get very upset if no one has posted anything new since I last logged on before bedtime the night before. I also stalk my own blog to see if anyone has commented on anything. If you're reading, please leave a comment once in a while so my self-stalking isn't for nothing. I then take a trip over to the message boards I belong to. Again, I get upset if there's nothing new. If I'm at work and having a slow day, I repeat this tedious process once about every 20-30 minutes. My latest obesession is stalking blogs and message boards to see if there's anything new on referrals, which have slowed down a bit. Oh, and I almost forgot...lately I've been stalking FedEx to see if the courier sent our Dossier back to us (I received it this morning, by-the-way). Today I FedEx'd our Dossier to CCAI, and I've already begun stalking that package. Anyway, this process repeats itself as soon as I get home and let the dogs out. I mean, something BIG could have happened on the 20 minute drive home from work. Needless to say, it continues throughout the evening. I'm pathetic.

Blogger buddies...you can relate - can't you?!?!?

Hmmmm, sounds a little like my routine. I have all my fave blogs loaded into Bloglines and it and my email beep when something new is added. Sometimes I'll be in the middle of laundry or cleaning or whatever and can't even resist running over to see what new thing came in. Yes it's a sickness. :-)

Hi Kim! Delurking to let you know I'm here. We're all losing our minds with the adoption, you're not alone.

You are definitely not alone Kim. :) Even though Ms. D is home, I still have a long list of blogs that I check throughout the day and before bed time. I'm all over The Story of You. LOL!! I miss China and love being able to follow along with other folks on their journey. I guess you would say that I'm not cured? I can't wait to go back someday. Congrats on mailing your dossier off to your agency!!!

Hugs -

I'd say that we all need a 12 step program, but it appears that when you are adopting from China, this is considered "normal" behavior. We all do it.

Dude, i do the same thing. I'm a total adoption stalker. It's the closest thing I get to actually getting my own Emily!!

There ought to be a patch or a pill for this...really!

I admit it...I'm a blog stalker. I read, re-read and even check back just in case bloglines has a delay.

If I could just focus some of my energy on mine, I'd update it..but then I might miss something somewhere else.
