Still Nothing

Still no word from CCAI. I'm assuming our Dossier is sitting in a stack waiting to be reviewed. They say that it can take 10-15 business days to get through critical review and translation. What is so frustrating to me is that some people seem to move through so quickly. I've also heard of people who have been waiting and waiting for a call to hear that they're out of critical review, and finally they get a call saying that they're DTC! I can't even say that there is a problem with any of our documents because they would have/should have contacted us if that were the case. They've had it for a week now and we've heard nothing. I've resigned myself that this will all play out in it's own time, but I'm still impatiently waiting. Tom called CCAI just a little bit ago to check on the progress, and left a voice mail for Kim. Hopefully we hear something soon. Maybe she'll get fed up with hearing from us (I emailed once last week and Tom called once) and get to our Dossier. Well, one can hope anyway. I think I enjoyed the paperchase more than this...at least I felt like I was being proactive. Now it's out of my hands and I must give up control.

On the upside, the stork has landed and referrals have started coming in. Hopefully that will lift my spirits. Congratulations to everyone who is seeing their babies for the first time!

Sorry Kim! The wait is so frustrating... But the chocolate and hard lemonade sounds like an excellent combat plan! :-)

Waiting is hard...but maybe, just maybe it teaches us patience for when our children arrive. Personally I think that is a load of you-know-what...but it sounded good! Our dossier took a full week in review and then only one day in translation before it was sent to China. Hopefully yours will be sent soon.
